GO GREEN PROJECT – INSTALLATION OF SOLAR PANEL SYSTEM AND PLANTATION OF SAPLINGS
Ahmedabad Round Table – 40 and Ahmedabad Ladies Circle – 64 had undertaken the Maiden Project of Suryajyoti under the leadership of National President Manpreet Raja and Prachi Agarwal for the year 2016-17 at Andh Apang Kalyan Kendra an FTE School adopted by Ahmedabad Round Table – 40 and Ahmedabad Ladies Circle – 64.
We have installed a 4 KVA Solar On Grid Panel System at the school. With this initiative, the school shall be saving on an Average 16 units per day which will give them an effective saving of Rs. 50,000/- per annum. Also, with solar installation on an average emission of Carbon-dioxide will be reduced to 6000 Kgs. per annum which will save close to 270 trees for the entire year. Even, 4000 Kgs. of Coal will be less used and save the atmosphere and eco-system ultimately helping Mother Earth.
Apart from the Go Green Advantage, we had the following 2 advantages for executing the project:
a) The First Advantage is that it was a small tribute to our dear friend and Fellow Tabler Utkarsh Jani who always believed in giving something back to the society in most eco-friendly manner.
b) The Second Advantage was that when I was taking over as a Chairman of Ahmedabad Round Table – 40, it was the message given to me by the National President Manpreet Raja that Ahmedabad Round Table – 40 is amongst one of the Top 20 Tables whom he wants to execute the Suryajyoti Project and we are happy to do it first in entire India for year 2016-17.
At the time of the Project, we had an advantage of listening the wonderful speech given by National President Manpreet Raja Prachi Agarwal, Area Chairman Sumit and Area Chairperson Smita. They were instrumental in cutting the Ribbon at the Project and inaugurating the Solar Panels for the school.
We also planted 100 Saplings which was the part of our Go Green Initiative. All in all a very satisfying project towards contributing something back to the Society.
Lastly, I am happy to share that the National President Manpreet Raja recognised me as the President Star for Quarter 1 of the Year 2016-17.
