Bombay Round Table 2 inaugurate 4 classroom block under Freedom Through Education

BRT2 has had a strong history with this School. Over a period of 7 years, this is the third association with the school.  In the last 2 phases we have built 12 classrooms covering an outlay of 8000 sqft.

Mr. Pratap Gaikwad is the principal and a trustee of the school. A very dedicated person and a very responsible person to work with.  He approached the table 6 months back with an appeal for an extra 4 classrooms. The existing capacity was falling short for the current number of students and the school had to refuse admission to 120 odd new students. After evaluating the requirement and the cost, the table started the construction work in June 2018.

The construction was planned to be completed by mid October and was completed as per schedule. The new floor of the school was inaugurated on the 28th of October with 16 heads including tablers, square legs, circlers and children. We had the pleasure of having the presence of the area chairman Aditya , AST Vickaash, and NPC Hussain. Also present were a few of our donor families: the Rajgharia Family and the Vaid Family.

We highly appreciate NPC Hussain’s efforts in flying down from Udaipur specially for the inauguration to a place which is 3 hours from Mumbai. He has been extremely supportive of the table and our endeavors to take up new projects.

We are highly grateful to the Rajgharia Family who donated Rs.Five Lacs to the cause and were present in full strength  for the inauguration.  In addition to this, Sq Leg Maneesh Rajgharia also committed a Tata Winger to the school for their transportation needs and the same will be sent to the school within a month.

We are also very grateful to Mr. Navneet Vaid and family who have been associated with our table for a long time now and have been consistently contributing towards school projects. A heartiest thanks to our corporate sponsors P&G, Mahindra Finance, NNBS who have provided the stimulus to these projects.

The school children had prepared a cultural welcome programme for all the guests and all the rooms were very beautifully decorated with rangoli and flowers. The inauguration was followed by a lovely lunch with the school staff amid nature.
