We started the City Tour at 10.40am and few tablers accompanied the Guests in two mini buses. We had arranged for a small KIT bag for the guests . First we took them to ISKON temple and then to Akshaya Dasohara, a kitchen run by ISKON to prepare mid day meal for 2 lakh kids every day. The guests were thrilled to see the huge kitchen and the hygiene maintained throughout. One of the ISKON priest accompanied us and explained the details at each stage. At about 12.15pm we headed to a school build by HART 153 under FTE projects. The guests’ interacted with the School Teachers and Students and distributed chocolates to the kids arranged by HART 153. At 1.00pm we just took a round through the Hubli city and reached Hotel Naveen at 1.45pm for lunch. Continental Lunch was arranged with dishes more suiting to the guests and few Hubli special dishes.
Post lunch at 2.30pm the guests were taken to a Khadi manufacturing unit. As Hubli is very well known for manufacture of Indian Flags, we showed the guests how the flags are manufactured and they had a good time watching the entire process. Then we took them to Deshpande Foundation where we had a presentation done by them. From there we took the guests to Gangubai Hangal Music Acadamy and the guests witnessed the teaching of local music. At around 5.30pm we reached Nruptunga Betta, a small hill from where the entire Hubli city is visible. We had arranged for few Pigeons and asked the guests to free the Pigeons, they were very very happy to do the same and started to sing a song in their language expressing their happiness. 6.30pm returned back to The Hans Hotel where the hosts were ready to take the guests back to their homes.
