Santa Greets all Twinklers on Christmas Eve with Gifts
I as in charge of twinkler’s of VRT-77 find this date (24th of Dec 2011) as one of the most memorable day in my tabling career. For that 1st of all need to thank my wife Lakshmi who took the pains in calling parents of all our twinkler’s in making sure that kids got what they liked as a Christmas gift from our Santa(Tr.Rajesh). That makes me thank Tr.Rajesh who instantly agree to be our Santa. And believe me it was a great experience driving Santa around the city (of course my car getting all the attention at traffic signals).
But the recognition must go to Tr.Umesh (chief architect) who came up with this brilliant idea of giving gifts to our Twinkler’s and also to all my fellow tabler’s for agreeing and giving funds without any second thoughts. Also I would like to thank Tr.Sandeep Chowdary for giving us company during the entire journey (while distributing the gifts)
My Memory lane
We started our priceless journey (as this experience cannot be bought with cash or card) at 4pm from my house. Tr.Rajesh got dressed as Santa at my home. The fun of Santa started even before it started. All the kids in my apartment who were playing in the car parking were dumb found looking at our Santa.
Tr.Umesh & Tr.Rajesh started from my home & went to our eldest Twinkler (Hamza). To our surprised watchman informed us that he was not there & that kind of was a bad start. But to keep our sprits alive I did not show that disappointment. We went ahead & left the gift to his home (Later got a call that he was thrilled).
Second stop was at Tr.Sandy Chow is house. There we had a bonus of giving gifts to His sister’s kids also. But guys believe me the look on Chota Dhruv’s face was so terrific, (when the gift was give to his elder brother (Hardik) and not him.) But he was relaxed once we told him that the packet has gifts for both of them.
Third stop was at our Ex Area Chairman’s (Tr.Deepak) mother in laws home. Tw Ganeesa is our second youngest. She on looking at our Santa twisted herself around the curtains & refused to let go of them even when Sukku(her mom) tried to bring them out. But finally when Santa removed the mask only then she was exited & took the gift.
On the way we went to Tr.Shravan’s & Diiwakar’s apartment complex. But the lady who opened the door for us got the shock of her life when she saw Santa. She left the door open and ran into the kitchen screaming. But the kids were shouting with excitement on seeing Santa.
Our laughter riot started from here. Next stop was at Spl Invitee Hari’s house. We were treated with some extraordinary snacks & coffee. His Kids (Sumeth & Sudeeksha) were spontaneous & exicted.
Then we went to our IPC’s (Tr.Kiran’s) house. Here we were taken for a surprise no kids or parents at but believe me Aunty (Kiran’s mom) was so excited that she could not believe it and was literally in the air. We gave the gifts to her & proceeded to Tr.Sandeep Chitra’s house.
At their house both his kids were sleeping. His son ( Tw.Vishnu) jumped out of his bed when he saw our Santa. His daughter was in a shock & disbelief, but she gradually came to terms with that
We proceeded to Tr.Dr.Raghu’s house . His kids were waiting at the main door for us to come. On seeing Santa they jumped in to the air, started clapping & running all over the place.
After diving through killer traffic we reached Hon Tr.Anand’s house. His wife Kavitha was very excited. But on knowing that their son Tw.Druv was not felling well we felt a little bit odd to celebrate.
On Tr.Rajesh’s (Yes our own Santa) house we were excited that both his daughters were waiting for us to arrive. They took some time but recognized who Santa was; I guess any child would find out their father’s touch. Both of them opened the gifts in our presence & were thrilled with what their dad has given them.
We then went to Tr.Sameer’s house. His son Tw.Adi came rushing to Santa & was asking where his gift was. He took his gift and ran all over the house showing his gift to everyone.
With only two houses to go we started to feel bad that it’s coming to an end but then we did not realize that we were on the roads for the last 4 hours. Next stop was at Tr.Ramayya’s home. Here we came to wish our youngest twinkler. It was really a pleasant surprise to see them get their child dressed in red cloths & cap waiting for Santa to arrive.
Last stop was at Hon Tr. Novee’s house. The best part here was father was more excited than son. We took permission from his tuition master to give the gift. As soon as his son went inside to continue studying we were served with hot hot potato smiley’s, and chocolate fudge. We departed with ever lasting memories to cherish.
