MCRT 94: Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on FTE

Project inauguration in association with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Former President of India, inaugurated the 55 classrooms constructed by MCRT 94 with support from Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan under Freedom Through Education on 22nd June 2009 at 3.30 pm in the presence of our IPP Tr. Pranay Trivedi and Area 2 Chairman Tr. Sakthivel Raja.

The cost of the project, i.e. 55 classrooms and 22 toilet blocks, is around 2.25 crores and the main donors being Lancor Holdings Ltd., HSBC Ltd., Round Table India Foundation, Round Table India Trust and Madras Cosmopolitan Ladies Circle 38.

A total of about 2200 underprivileged children will benefit from this project. To download the detailed project report, please click here.
