RTI to support Let’s Vote

Dear Friends,

I am delighted to announce that Round Table India is to partner with Let’s Vote (www.letsvote.in) on a PAN India basis. Let’s Vote is a citizen’s initiative (unlike Jaago Re, which is solely funded by Tata Tea) to make sure that all of us as citizens of this great nation vote and be counted.

This is a wonderful initiative taken up by heads and employees of major corporations across the country and is something that we as Tablers must embrace as it is our responsibility as the intelligentsia of this country to make sure that everyone in our family, businesses and other social contacts are registered to vote. Our responsibility does not end there and we have to make sure that we, our families, our employees, colleagues and friends vote during the forthcoming elections and our voice is heard.

This also opens up a huge opportunity for joint publicity of both Round Table India and Let’s Vote. You may plan to have rallies, quiet walks, marathons, signature dinners, cricket tournaments (would urge AC Shakti to start with the Area Cricket Tournament), SMS campaigns, email blasts. I would also request all RT trainers to take up the cause and visit different colleges to spread the word. I strongly believe that we as Tablers and responsible citizens have the will and the motivation to take up this cause. From my side I will keep you posted on events that may be taken up during March. Such as walks, runs etc.

In lieu of publicity done by Round Table we are to be recognized at different forums for the efforts put in by Round Table India.

One of the requests of Let’s Vote is that we do not allow any politician or aspiring candidates to use this platform and that is in keeping with the non-political ethos of Round Table India, as such I would request all to respect the same.

I am attaching herewith a note on what Lets Vote is all about, also attached are the logos of both Let’s Vote and Round Table India.

I would like to thank our National President , Tr. Pranay for his unstinted support and for accompanying me to the Let’s Vote office in Hyderabad yesterday.

I would once again urge that you all take up this cause wholeheartedly for this great nation.

200th Meet and Hart Rythms , Hubli Accent RT – 153

HART 153 had come to a threshold of celebrating its historic 200^th meeting on the 24^th January 2009, and all the members of the table wanted to make this event a memorable one. The venue chosen for the event was Hotel Hans at Hubli. 

HART 153’s very own ‘HART Rhythms’, a singing competition, was also planned to be conducted on the same day.

Tr.Guru Panchalar was appointed as the event convener and had committees assigned under him to undertake various responsibilities. Tr. Kumar Harapanahalli and his wife Namana were requested to be the ‘master of ceremony’, to take the audience throughout the entire event.

The head table of HART 153 decided to have all the Area X tables jointly coming together to have a joint meeting to celebrate the event. Therefore, as a rare occasion we had altogether 10 tables coming together to celebrate the event. We had active participations from HRT 37, HKRT 178, HCRT 142, DRT 60, DRT 76, BRT 119, PCRT 128, BRT 152 and KRT 154.

We had invitations circulated and requested RTI VP Tr. Himanshu Gupta, to be the Chief Guest for the event. AC Tr. Abdul Sadiq was requested to be the guest of honour and we had Tr. Mohan Mankani, Tr. Bipin Mirajkar and Tr. Ravi Boviyavar as special invitees.

Prez Tr Pranay at RT 20 World meet and visit to Tables – Area 7 -

Dear friends,

Giving you a brief of my visit to Coimbatore last week as under:

World RT 20 Meeting:

Spent 3 wonderful nights at Coimbatore attending the World 20 Meeting hosted by Coimbatore North RT 20. I had the pleasure to be the Chief Guest at this meeting which is the 2nd that I attended after the World 117 meeting hosted by Coonoor RT 117 – both from Area 7.

I joined up with the group of 48 heads including a few children representing Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, and Switzerland at Hyderabad on 15th evening. They were passing thru Hyderabad towards Coimbatore after a wonderful pre-tour to Delhi, Jaipur and Agra. The evening saw 4 house parties and although they were tired after their trip, all of them made it a point to attend the parties.

16th morning was the inauguration of a 6 class room block and a toilet block which was at a cost of Rs. 30 lakhs – out of which €3000 was funded by Table 20 of Norway. They were amazed with the smiles on the face of every child and were happy that their donation was utilized for a worthy cause.

Ehsaan , Loy and ‘Luck By Chance’ Team at Govt Urdu School Bangalore

Round Table and Ladies Circle had one of the memorable days in the history of Circling and Tabling yesterday -9th Feb 2009 at Taj WestEnd.

Ehsaan and Loy visited Govt Urdu school near Hebbal with BNRT25 and BNLC 14. We had arranged for a mid-day meal.Both Loy and Ehsaan thoroughly enjoyed and spent quality time with the kids. No word to express. Hopefully the pictures will speak for itself

In the evening around 5:45pm we had the photo shoot with stars and the anchor i.e. BNRT 25 & BNLC 14. We had Farhan, Zoya, Sanjay, Loy, Ehsaan and Ritesh amidst us. It was clicks, autographs and the do’s. I still can’t believe it has happened!!

Followed by photo shoot it was the press meet. We had everyone from the media – the toughest…but yesterday it seemed  so easy. Thanks to the stars. Cindu, FM 91 was the MC who did an excellent job. I had the privilege of welcoming all the stars, followed by Area 6 chairman Naveen Pishe who enlightened the guests about Round Table and Ladies Circle followed by Branding Ehsaan Noorani as Brand Ambassador of RT India. We had Farhan  endorsing Round Table, Ehsaan expressing his support towards education. We had Nat Pres Cr.Uma and Tr.Pranay, Area CP Cr.Lata and other National and area board members gracing the occasion. We had Ehsaan launching the FTE+.

Farhan, Ehsaan all very vocal and said it was Cr.Lakshmi who got their attention through facebook and today it was because of Lakshmi they were present amidst us and supporting RT India and LC India – "Freedom through Education". Cr. Lakshmi – we are all proud of you and we will always cherish these moments for the rest of our life.

The floor was then open to questions – we had an excellent Q&A session. They were more on Luck By Chance and other plans of Farhan etc…

After a short break we all resumed to Signature dinner with the stars, the show started with publicity video images about Round Table and Ladies Circle, followed by fashion Show. Guests also got to take pics with Farhan and others

Icing on the cake was Farhan singing Rock-On and Mere Laundry Ka ek Bill..it was worth every penny. We had stars sharing secrets of each one to their left, not to forget Smart answers to questions asked by the guests

We had other dos which kept the evening going as guests enjoyed the cocktails and dinner.
