National AGM and Dress Code for NeX members

Dear Friends,

I hope all of you have sent your registrations, confirmed your hotel bookings and informed your travel plans to the National AGM Committee.

MC and his team are leaving no stone unturned to give all of us a memorable AGM. Their sms reminders and mass mails show how keen they are in generating everyone’s interest about the AGM. Please do make a last ditch effort in encouraging all those Tables in your Area who have not yet registered, to join you for the event.

Cricket Tournament Hosted by Area 3

Friends,

Last weekend Area 3 played a wonderful host and the way it conducted the tournament showed its mettle.

BRT 49 was the host table and Reliance Sporting Complex was the venue. The ground was of international standard, the commentators were a class of their own, the hospitality and everything else were of top class.. Hosts were so hospitable that they allowed the guests to win, or so they claimed.

Area 9 and 10 were supposed to be the visiting teams. Area 10 could not make it to Baroda, but Area 9 made up for them. Area 9 were not just in full strength but were  oversize and seemed to reflect their AC. At a time when finding numbers to make a team of eleven seems a commendable task, they came with 19. Kudos to them, especially the AC.

The hosts of the evening socials Sumit and Hemanth had every thing in place at the venue which was the sprawling bungalow of Chairman Amit, BRT 49. The dry state seemed to be as wet as it could. The meeting also had a feature which is being seen as the need of the day in RTI – extension. It was a real day of fellowship.

I thank AC Vineet, Chairman Amit, Advait, hosts Hemanth and Sumit and all the other tablers of BRT 49 for the arrangements and hospitality.

Charter of Amritsar Round Table

Dear Friends,

It gives me great pleasure in informing you that the Charter of the youngest Table in our organisation – Amritsar Round Table 203 and the 3rd Table in Punjab (Area 5) took place on 13th December’ 08. It was a memorable occassion as it was a side-by-side event with the Ladies Circle also being chartered the same evening. Worth mentioning here that the Table has been chartered with a strength of 19 Tablers.

The entire event was perfectly organised and the party rocked till the time they dropped all of us to the station at 6:00 in the morning. Must really hand it to the guys who made us feel that they have been Tablers for a long time – not just with the meeting and the party but also with their hospitality.

Directory 2008-09

Dear Friends ,

I hope everyone of you must have received this year’s RTI Directory by now.

At the outset, let me first apologize for the delay in bringing out the same.

As you all know we have for the first time inserted photographs along with the names of all tablers. I hope this will make the directory more useful and we will be able to connect to our friends, whom we might have met at one of the tabling events, much easily.

I am happy to inform that we have been able to cover about 2100 out of 2642 Active Tablers & HT’s. Although several reminders were send to all Table Chairmen&Secretaries and then individually to those who’s photographs we didn’t get and because of which we had to extend the deadline couple of time but unfortunately we still missed out on few. I am hopeful the next directory will have everyone photographs in place.

I would like to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for helping me bring out this directory. A special thanks to President Pranay(for getting me so many sponsorships), NST Manish(for giving the initial boost) & NSC Prasanna(for taking the entire pain of coordinating with printers) without whom it would have been a daunting task for me.

I would also like to thank the entire staff at the secretariat specially Nandini(for compiling all the data’s), Ramaswamy(for coordinating with sponsor’s) & Selva(for art work) for their diligence. I must say we are very fortunate to have such people with us who make difficult work look so easy.

Lastly I would like to apologize for any mistake, although unintentional in the directory and request all of you to let me know if any rectification needs to be done in the future.

Proud that they made an impact with radical thoughts n ideas…This is the way forward…Paresh can surely pullin the best of channels n media guys n give phenominal coverage to RTI…

We are getting the CD of program n will put video clippings on blog…
