RT World Meet moves to Pattaya

Dear Friends,

Adopt Adapt Improve – this is the motto of Round Table and RT Sri Lanka have very clearly lived by this motto and have come with a fantastic new venue for the RTI World Meeting 2008. I am very happy to announce that RT Sri Lanka will be hosting the RTI World Meeting 2008 at Pattaya, Thailand, from August 20th to 24th, 2008 (same dates as earlier).

The main highlights of the RTI World Meeting 2008 at Pattaya are:

Location: Pattaya, Thailand – an exotic place that offers a super range of activities from Crocodile farms & water sports to late night karaoke.

Dates: August 20th – 24th, 2008 – same dates as before.

Registration Amount: Early Bird until April 30th, 2008 – Euro 395 per person, From May 1st, 2008 onwards – Euro 435 per person
The registration amount will include:
• Return transfers from/to Bangkok International Airport
• Entry to all events
• All meals as per the event program
• Free beer at the RTI Bar (spirits under negotiation)
• Transfers to event venues and continuous shuttle services from host hotel to Pattaya city
• Day tours
• Discount vouchers for local merchants
The Venue Hotel will be the Zign Hotel (http://www.thezignhotel.com/contact.html). This is a brand new excellent 5 star property in central Pattaya with its own private beach. The hotel has fantastic meeting room facilities with built in audio/video features and two huge pools, and the hotel itself might be rebranded as the Round Table Hotel for the period of the event!! RT Sri Lanka has negotiated a fantastic deal with the hotel at Euro 32.50 per person per night on a twin sharing basis, including breakfast.
For Children, the hotel has a nice pool and even babysitting can be arranged. RT Sri Lanka will also be arranging a special children program for the event depending on the numbers of registrations received. Registration for children under 8 years of age is free.

Another exciting event being planned is the Charter of Bangkok RT 1. RT Sri Lanka has already had 2 contact meetings in and is having the 3rd contact meeting on March 21st in Bangkok. If all goes well, the Charter of the youngest table entering the RTI family is planned for the 19th August in Bangkok, and this event will be offered as an “add on” event to those wanting to participate.
The old adage of “When the going gets tough the tough get going” has been ably demonstrated by RT Sri Lanka. I would like to compliment RT Sri Lanka on behalf of RTI for having come up with a great alternate venue for the RTI World Meeting 2008. And I request all associations of RTI to support RT Sri Lanka by coming forward and registering in great numbers for YOUR World Meeting in Pattaya.

However, please forward this mail to all tablers in your association and I request all tablers of RTI to register immediately with RT Sri Lanka for your World Meeting in Pattaya and make your flight bookings as well.

Successful PMT South

I am pleased to inform you that the PMT South has been organized succesfully. The delegation from RT # 153 Netherlands have left Mumbai.

I would sinerely like to thank the following Tablers and all Tables involved in facilitating this event.

1. Tr.Srijit of Cochin Back waters RT # 131 and Tablers of Cochin for the evening social at Chakolas habitat.
2. Coimbatore tables , in particular Coimbatore Penta RT # 101 for hosting the dinner at Cbe Club lawns.
3. Tr.Saad Sait of Ooty RT # 55 , who gave an excellent time to the delegation at Ooty and Mudumalai.
4. Tr.Banu Kiran Mysore RT # 21, AC6 Tr.Ashwin for the socials in Mysore.
5. Tr.Vikram of Banglore Mid-Town RT # 129 , and Tables of Blr for the non stop fellowship at Blr.
and finally
6. Kudos to AC 10, Tr.Mohan for coordinating the flights from Blr and the Hubli visit . Tables of Hubli for the school visit and Tables in Goa also.

Baroda Extension by BRT 49

Dear Tr. Hemant,

Acknowledge the receipt of A 1 form, from Baroda RT # 49 requesting permission to extend a new table in Baroda. The said being in proper order, it is my privilege to grant permission to BRT 49.

Dear Shiv and Tablers from the PACART region,

Shiv we had a fantastic Train The Trainer program conducted by Tr.Manish and Tr.Sanjy over the week end. I have no doubt that the TTT program will lead to the growth and expansion of Tabling in Sri Lanka in the not too distant future. HRD was not a priority item or a facet of Tabling until we discovered what it could do to you not only in Tabling but also in your personal life and to the businesses you run.

Manish and Sanjay conducted the program brilliantly and we thank both of them for the dedication and passion they have for training as well as Tabling.

Shiv your vision of expanding HRD to the PACART region is truly commendable. This program couldn’t have come at a better time for us at RT Sri Lanka and will assist us greatly in our efforts to extend tabling to Thailand and face the challenges before us in organising the world meeting.

Shiv thanks a lot once again for encouraging me to organise this event.
