Our NVP’s visit to Colombo in his own words…..
Dear Friends,
During my visit to Colombo last week, Arpana and I were invited to a meeting of Colombo Taprobane Round Table 3 which was held on 30.11.07 at their National Secretary Tr.Altaf’s house. Greetings from Round Table India were conveyed to them and a brief of the happenings at RTI with regard to Freedom Through Education were informed.
The following day, RT Sri Lanka President Tr.Duleep was kind enough to invite me over for lunch where the following were also present: ASPAC Chairman, Tr.Nemantha and RT Sri Lanka Vice President Tr.Arjuna. This day also happened to be Tr.Romesh’s birthday and Tr.Juzar took all of us to his house. I made it a point to personally wish him for two reasons – one for the birthday and the other for a speedy recovery. He was mighty thrilled to see me and was looking as cheerful as ever with his infectious smile……Romesh is on the road to recovery although he will have to be under bed rest for almost a month now. He is undergoing physiotherapy for his arm as well as speech therapy. All of us present reminded him that he has to really speed up and be ready to party at Goa for our National AGM. Let us all pray for his speedy recovery…..
As things stand now, we should be expecting at least 4/5 Tablers from Sri Lanka at Goa where apart from joining us in the fun, they would also like to have a time slot for a presentation on the Round Table International World Meet which they are hosting in August’ 08.
Friends, I would like to thank them for the wonderful hospitality extended to us and making our trip memorable. This is the beauty of Tabling and I am glad that I am a proud member of this wonderful organisation. Thanks Round Table Sri Lanka….
Look forward to seeing them in Goa from 10th to 13th January’ 08.
Regards,
Tr.Pranay Trivedi, National Vice President – 2007-2008, Round Table India

MRT 14 and MLC 8 jointly organised the Crazy Mohan Drama Festival which drew a lot of crowd, publicity and funds.
As the accounts are being finalized, the net income should be to the tune of Rs.1.6 to 2 lakhs. Great Show, Guna and Hema, the convenors of the event. And the show would not have happened without the support of all the Tablers and Circlers. Right from the daily meets till the actual show, the particiapation was great, with all chipping in.

The publicity generated is phenomenal, with Radio Mirchi repeatedly promoting the show. The banners, hand bills and press advertisements added to the fire. Crazy Mohan in his interviews with Radio Mirchi and Krishna TV, spoke highly of the movement and what it stands for (clippings of the interview will soon be available on the blog). The press meet, again, was a huge success as it drew in nearly all the media and they have followed it up, with thier reports, giving the movement great publicity. The RTI film, played before the plays, show caused the movement to the elite public. Also the public were very impressed with the courteous way the Tablers and Circlers handled the crowd, directing them to thier seats and making last minute adjustments, got many, well deserved, praises.
An excellent show, with great planning and execution. Kudos!!!
