RTI Park preferred cards

I proud to inform you that Park Hotels has started dispatching the RTI-Park preferred cards, as per the MOU signed last year. I like to congratulate last year’s National CAT Convenor, Tr.Subbu & Chairman of MRT 1, Tr.Sethu for their efforts.
This completes one more pending initiative of last year.

Visit to South Africa

Dear Friends,
I had the opportunity to visit SA recently. Never imagined that Tabling across continents could be so fascinating ! I was invited twice, once for an informal dinner and then for a social. I was very pleased to see tabling in its true spirit -Fellowship to the hilt and projects with the dedication that we have.
Tr.Kieth, Tr.Rudi, Tr.Mornay with their wives took me out for an informal dinner on Wednesday, 24th Oct. 07 at a typical South African style resort, where we had great fun amongst the Africans playing drums and dancing to the Jungle Songs! We exchanged pins and flags and discussed in length the various projects being done by them. I shared my experiences with them.

Another outing was the social on Friday, 26th Oct.’07. This social was organised by Northridge Ladies Circle (based in Johannesburg) to entertain Tablers and Circlers from South Cape Area (Knysna and Plettenburg Bay) who came up to Johannesburg to support and participate in the Black Bra project (A project in aid of the Breast Cancer Patients).
Tr. Rudi from Northridge Round Table No. 117, Gauteng Area No. 6 was my key contact there and he really took great care of me! They have 17 ‘Table Clubs’ in Gauteng Area which include Johannesburg West, Central and East.
We had a great time that night…bonfire, music & dance!! I was honored to be made a proud member of THE BUFFALO CLUB by having a small induction ceremony and a pinning ceremony !! Once you are a member, you are NOT allowed to EVER hold your drink in your right hand- it has to be the LEFT hand only !! If you are caught drinking with your Right hand, you are liable to be BUFFALOED !! There is small rule book to be followed and an oath to be taken !! It is FUN !! It is also a Charity project for one of the tables and the Buffalo Pin is sold by them to the tablers who wish to have their fellow tablers to be a part of this prestigious club ! So friends be ready with your wallets- here I come to Buffalo you!
I got a lot of warnings about Jo’burg being a very unsafe place and stuff…however it was a very safe and warm feeling once I was amongst tablers ! I guess that’s the power of tabling !! A stranger is straightaway invited home and instantly becomes family !! Amazing !! Lets Live It Up guys With  a touch Of Friendship, because we are truly Blessed to be a part of this wonderful movement !!
